Nissan unveiled its fifth generation of popular hatch Micra at the Paris
Motor Show a week ago. The all-new Nissan Micra is based on latest Sway Concept. Interestingly the
front fascia gets Nissan's signature V Motion Grille, along with Nissan's new
design of floating roof and the boomerang-shaped headlamps. The Nissan Micra
fifth gen will be come in 10 colors variants.

Key 10 Things To Know About 5th Gen Nissan Micro
a) Technology:
Nissan Micra fifth gen will sport emergency braking with pedestrian
recognition, lane departure prevention, traffic sign recognition, high beam
assist, Blind spot warning.
b) Entertainment:
The top variant will feature a 6-speaker Bose Personal Sound System along with
a 7-inch display infotainment, connectivity and also gets Apple CarPlay.
c) Handling:
Micra comes installed with an Active Ride Control for better ride experience
and Active Trace Control for controlling understeer and provide better handling.
d) Engine:
Hatch will be available in two engine options viz. the 0.9-litre three-cylinder
petrol motor, which is turbocharged and a 1.5-litre diesel unit.
e) Torque:
Both the engines yield a maximum of 90bhp torque.
f) Upcoming
Engine: Nissan is planning to get in a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine
which will make 73bhp.
g) Other
features: New Micra is highly aerodynamic and it has a drag co-efficient of
barely 0.29.

h) Launch
Dates: The fifth gen Nissan Micra will be available from March, 2017 &
will be manufactured at the Renault plant in Flins, France and the sales.
i) India Launch:
Nissan has not revealed plans of bringing the 5th generation Micra to India any time soon yet, but will surely make its way later in 2017 or early 2018.
j) Price:
The new Micra is going to be slightly costlier for the features it offers.
However office price is not out yet.
