Review: Galaxy 7, a slimmest smartphone from Samsung

Introduction

Samsung is one of the leading pioneer when it comes to smartphone market, competing to likes of Apple, LG, HTC, Nokia etc. One area where Samsung lacked luster was in design aspect of the phone. We had not seen anything dramatic over years except for screen size & resolution getting some overhaul.
But all this is going to be changed soon. Samsung is allegedly working on its thinnest smartphone ever and is being named as Galaxy A7.

Getting to know about Galaxy A7

From our findings (courtesy: Chinese regulatory) this thinnest smartphone from Samsung will sport an ultrathin 6.3mm chassis, which is a half millimeter thinner than its flagship phone called the Galaxy Alpha.
The phone will adore impressive resolution & is loaded with spectacular hardware configuration as well.

Build & Quality

Let’s have a look at its general hardware configuration:

OS: Never the less, Samsung is an Android patron and comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat (we would expect it to be upgraded to Lollipop at time of release)

Display: Galaxy A7 will sport a 5.5-inch 1,080p HD display
Ultra-slim Design of A7

Camera: Phone will also feature a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies lovers

Processor & RAM: Phone will come with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 1.5GHz Octa-core processor & 2GB RAM

Storage: 16GB of internal storage and should be upgradable as well

Battery: Details not shared

Build:  A7 might be positioning itself for the high end of midrange performance and smart aesthetics with a all-metal unibody design element.

General Observation & Verdict

Galaxy A7 will compete with likes of HTC & OnePlus which in recent times are able to provide better hardware and configurations at lesser price. In developing Asian nations like India, Srilanka, Nepal, it will face much tougher fight with their local players like Micromax, Celkon, Lava, Xolo and very own Nokia. But Samsung as a brand is much superior compared to other.
