Review: Lenovo Sisley S90 - iPhone 6's true clone at one-third the price

Introduction

For quite some we have been noticing an increased trend about affordable Android Smartphone makers leaving no stones unturned in giving their phone looks and feel of an iPhone at an affordable price. In India, Lenovo has come forward to carry the baton ahead by launching iPhone look alike smartphone called Sisley S90 for Rs 19,900 ($320).

Getting to know about Sisley S90

Despite no official announcement from Lenovo India, the smartphone was rolled by a famous Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom on Wednesday to be available in India. Phone will also be on grabs on Lenovo Do Store, starting Friday. It is worth mentioning Lenovo S90 is 6.9mm thick and weighs 129 grams, exactly the same as the Apple iPhone 6.

Build & Quality

External looks are identical to iPhone 6 however the device is mostly average inside the hood.

Processor: The Dual SIM phone sports 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM

Display: Phone features a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD (720x1280 pixels) display

Storage: The phone comes with an inbuilt storage of 32 GB which is not expandable unfortunately

Camera: 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front facing camera is one of the key USP of this smartphone

OS: Android Kitkat 4.4 upgradable to Android Lollipop

Connectivity: The phone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G, FDD LTE 4G (1800MHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS

Battery: 2300 mAh which is decent for daily use

General Observation & Verdict

This new phone from house of Lenovo is an old wine served in new bottle. The phone available in graphite grey colour only.

Those who want to flaunt iPhone look alike phone for a fraction of price, this could be a right fit.

Rest of the features in the phone are that of  typical Android smartphone which are available for as low as Rs 10,000 or $150. We would rate this phone 3/5.
