Nissan has been in India for around quite some time. However except for Micra & Terreno, they have not been able to capture the Indian market by storm. But this may soon change, by introduction of Nissan Kicks Compact SUV which made its global debut in 2016. Nissan may potentially launch the Kicks SUV in India by December this year.

10 Key Things To Know About Nissan Kicks

a) Kicks SUV is based on Nissan's V platform, however for India debut it may use the M0 platform which is currently used by Renault for the Duster, Lodgy and even the Captur.

b) Using existing framework will help in increasing localisation of content and therefore the prices will remain competitive.

c) Nissan Kicks will have its own bodyshell and will not be a rebadged model but it will still share similar engines and transmissions i.e. 1.5-litre K9K diesel and 1.6-litre petrol.

d) Gearbox will come loaded with a six-speed manual for the diesel and a five-speed manual for the petrol. The petrol-powered Kicks could also come with a CVT gearbox.

e) Nissan Kicks will however come in its own unique looks - sharp, muscular yet offers very fresh appeal to young buyers.

f) Exaggerated wheel arches, Ridged bonnet and raked rear windscreen complemented by Blackened A-, B- and C-pillars at the roof offers a ‘floating’ effect which adds to its beauty.

g) The interiors will be feature loaded and will sport 7-inch infotainment system, automatic climate control and 4 cameras to help park and manoeuvre the car.

h) Nissan Kicks may be priced at a premium (i.e. above the Terrano).

i) It will compete directly with Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur and even the Mahindra XUV500, Tata Safari & Ford EcoSport.

h) Quick Facts: Kicks SUV which was the official car of the Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games. Nissan has had an investment of R$750 million for the crossover and is produced at the Resende Industrial Complex in Rio de Janeiro State.

New Honda Amaze 2018 - A quick review

The all new Honda Amaze 2018 has been finally unveiled with a starting price of ₹ 5.59 lakh, going up to ₹ 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Amaze is likely to compete with Suzuki Desire, Ford Aspire, Hyundai Xcent and Volkswagen Ameo in India. Lets quickly dig into some quick facts about this subcompact sedan.

10 Key Things To Know About Honda Amaze 2018

1) The new Honda Amaze comes in an all new platform with a completely new design, features and the option of a diesel CVT as well.

2) The base Petrol Model of Amaze will cost about ₹ 5.59 lakh for E grade, going up to ₹ 7.57 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) for the range-topping VX grade.

3) Amaze draws power from a 1.2-litre petrol engine that is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission delivering 100hp.

4) Amaze is slightly expensive, where as the Hyundai Xcent is the most aggressively priced subcompact sedan across most trims.

5) Honda Amaze diesel will use existing 1.5-litre i-DTEC motor, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission delivering 80hp and it's base diesel E trim is priced at ₹ 6.69 lakh, while the top-spec VX MT diesel is priced at ₹ 8.67 lakh.

6) Honda Amaze is offered with an optional CVT paired with the petrol engine and will compete with likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire AMT and Ford Aspire AT.

7) In terms of design, the Amaze borrows styling cues from its elder siblings like the City and the Accord, particularly the grille and face.

8) Amaze will offer best in class mileage of 19.5kpl for the petrol-manual, 19.0kpl for the petrol-automatic, 27.8kpl for the diesel-manual and 23.8kpl for the diesel-automatic.

9) The top-spec VX trim,gets equipments such as a 7.0-inch infotainment system with capacitive touchscreen, GPS with turn-by-turn navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a reverse camera, steering-mounted voice controls and cruise control along with paddleshifters along with kit like LED daytime-running lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, keyless go with push-button start, automatic climate control and a rear defogge

10) Luggage space has also increased by 20 litres and now stands at 420 litres and offer impressive ground clearance.

India bound New Suzuki Ertiga 2018 - A Preview

Suzuki's all new Ertiga MPV is all set to launch in India soon. The new variant was showcased at the Indonesia International Motor Show recently. The latest generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes with variety of changes in its design, dimensions and a powerful engine.

Know 10 Key Things About Upcoming Suzuki Ertiga

1) Looks: The new generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga's fascia includes a chrome detailing on its new hexagonal grille while the angular headlamps gets projector lens.

2) Body (Front): The front bumper sports a C-shaped housing for fog lamps, the new bonnet comes with a muscular creases along the hood.

3) Body (Rear): Rear is quite inspired by Honda WR-V with the tail lights in L-shape(LED based) and rear windscreen is a bit raked. Interestingly the license plate gets chrome detailing as well while the rear bumper is redesigned for a sleekness.

4) Interiors: The second-gen Ertiga gets a new dashboard  - is now divided in half by a faux wood insert running across the length. The AC vents spans the entire length of the dashboard while the infotainment system is a floating one.

7) Dimensions: There is a signficant improvement in its overall length by 99mm and stands at 4,395 mm, while the width increases by almost 40mm at 1,735 mm and the height is increased by just 5mm at 1,690 mm. The wheelbase is at 2,740 mm.

8) Ground Clearance: The 7-seater MPV has a ground clearance of 180mm.

9) Engine: The new generation Ertiga is powered by all latest 1.5-litre K15B, DOHC, VVT petrol engine that produces max power of 104hp and peak torque of 138NM, coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

10) Seating Capacity & Safety: MPV will come in 7 seater capabilities. Ertiga gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Both Echo and Google Home are welcome addition to AI enabled gadgets category and are very similar products. The advantage with Google Home is that you can sync all your devices as long as you are on Android ecosystem something which Amazon fails to struggle at this stage. However, Echo is a more matured device with huge capabilities while Google home is still at nascent stage.

In nutshell, Acer’s Chromebook Tab 10 is aimed at the new iPad version however we feel iPad has a clear advantage. On other hand, Tab 10 has a stylus support; like the  Samsung’s Galaxy Note series. It is basically a Wacom-branded stylus, and it doesn’t require a battery or any additional charging.

In terms of pricing, this tablet will sell for $329, and it may become popular with schools as Google’s operating systems currently lead the sales of classroom computers due to their low cost and extensive cloud maintenance tools. However if you are still looking for a cheaper version, we strongly recommend to consider Fire HD10 Tablet from Amazon.

Xiaomi's has launched all new smartphone Mi Mix 2S on Tuesday which is an inception to new generation smartphone. This model is a revamp of last year's Mi Mix 2. The phone boasts of new dual 12-megapixel rear cameras at the back, featuring an AI-powered wide angle and a telephoto lens combo. So what is AI-powered lens all about? i) USP: With inbuilt AI (machine learning), the Mix 2S has a camera with an ability to detect stray hair or accessories to ensure they don't get blurred when taking portrait-mode pictures. In addition to same, phone can proficiently take five different shots and combine them together to reduce noise in low-light photos.

j) Other Features - This phone also showcases feature called optical character recognition (OCR). It can detect when you're taking a picture of a presentation and use OCR to transcribe Mandarin or English text, so when you zoom into the picture, the text remains clear.

Caveat - Only top-end model supports all global LTE bands.

The manufacturing facility was inaugurated in Halol, Gujarat last year with an investment of Rs 2000 Crore ($300 Million) and will have production capacity of 80,000 units per year. The automaker have revised its investment plans to Rs 5000 Crores now i.e. $770 million. Let’s get into more details what it means for India.

1. MG Motors will roll out it’s first CAR perhaps a SUV in 2nd quarter of 2019. 

2. The first SUV is likely to be the ZS or the GS.

4. MG Motor India is targeting to launch 1 new car every year from 2019 and 1000 new people have already been hired at the plant.

7. MG Motors plans to establish 300 customer touch points over next couple of years (which may include service centres as well). 

8. The state-of-the-art facility, spread over an area of 170 acres, will be completely revamped by MG Motor by 2019.

9. The MG brand, which originated as an iconic British Racing Sports Brand in the year 1924, has evolved into a modern-day innovative brand through the last 93 years.

10. Last year, British automotive marque Morris Garages moved a step closer towards establishing full scale operations in the country, with MG Motor India completing acquisition of Halol plant in Gujarat from General Motors.
