Hero MotoCorp has added a single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) variant to its Glamour X 125 commuter motorcycle, priced at Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is the first time Hero has offered ABS on a 125cc motorcycle, positioning the Glamour X 125 as a safety-first option in a segment that mostly still relies on CBS (combined braking system).

CONS
- Single-channel ABS covers only the front wheel; Hero's own Xtreme 125R offers dual-channel ABS
- No styling or performance changes, just a safety and colour update
- Priced close to rivals like the Bajaj Pulsar 125, so worth comparing specs
PRICING (ex-showroom, Delhi)
- Drum: approx. Rs 89,999 (Rs 88,500 per some sources)
- Disc: approx. Rs 99,999 (Rs 96,800 per some sources)
- ABS (new): Rs 1.01 lakh
Sources vary slightly on exact rupees; on-road price will be higher once RTO, insurance, and local taxes are added.
VERDICT
Worth the extra money over the Disc variant if safety matters to you. The premium is small and front-wheel ABS meaningfully cuts lock-up risk under hard or wet braking. Not a reason to upgrade if you already own a Disc or Drum Glamour X. If performance matters more than safety features, compare against the Bajaj Pulsar 125 or Hero's own Xtreme 125R first.
