Review: Ugraded HTC Desire 816G

Introduction

Though HTC Desire 816G is just available in Indian Markets for few months now, the company has decided to release the upgraded version for Rs19,990  ($320) which is now packed with Octa Core processor.

Getting to know about HTC Desire 816G

HTC Desire 816G has been a popular mid segment large screen phone with quad core processor and 720p display with a price tag of around 18990/- which means the upgraded version of the phone will be priced slightly higher.


The upgraded phone comes with 1.7GHz octa core chipset which is most likely from MediaTek based on the Cortex A7.

Build & Quality

RAM: This octa-core phone comes with 1GB RAM which is quite decent for the price.

Camera: The phone comes with 13 Megapixel rear snapper and 5 Megapixel front camera.

Storage: Desire 816G comes with 16GB internal storage which is expandable upto 64GB with the help of external SD card.

Battery: The phone has an average 2600mAh battery which we hope should last for a day.

Display: HTC desire 816G has a large 5.5 Inch 720p HD display. The display is smooth and the icons have smooth edges.

General Observations & Verdict

HTC desire 816G has already been a popular phone in the mid segment market and with necessary processor upgrade, it should be able to penetrate the already congested cell phone market.

The phone has attractive specifications and the price is just about right.
