Review: Elephone P6000/P8000 smartphone

Getting to know about P6000 & P8000

The smartphone is a dual-sim( micro sim) Quad core 1.5GHz  which runs on Android 5.1 out of the box. It flashes a high pixel camera quality and looks distinct.

Build & Quality

Inside the hood, the smartphone has some very interesting specification which challenges the most phones out in the market.

Processor & RAM: The smartphone run heavy duty with the 1.5GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Interesting feature here is that you can also opt for a 2GB RAM variant for P6000. This is something which is rarely seen by most players in the market.

Display: P6000 Pro has a display which stands at a average of 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS panel. It would have been great if full HD had been featured. P8000 has 5.5 inch HD display.

Storage: Both P6000 and P8000 have16GB of inbuilt storage which could have been 32GB to make a hit in the market.

Camera:  Both feature a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash . P6000 has 2 megapixel front camera where as P8000 has 5 megapixels front camera.

Battery: P6000 has an average 2700mAh battery but the P8000 has a whooping 4165 mAh battery.

OS: Android Lollipop 5.1

Connectivity: 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.


Other features: P8000 comes with Fingerprint ID which is quite attractive.

General Observation & Verdict

This phone is a must buy for those who like to experiment new things and dare to go off the usual mind track. P6000 comes for very reasonable $119.99/$139.99 (2GB/GB) whereas P8000 can be brought for $169.99. only. Go ahead and take your chance.
