Tata HEXA – is perhaps one of the most anticipated launch in MPV/ affordable SUV category by house of TATA this year. Oct 2016 is when it shall be launched across India. Tata HEXA is positioned to replace the Aria. This MPV comes loaded with packed features and is best suited for Indian roads and rough terrains/ off-roads.

Key 10 Things to Know About TATA HEXA:
1) First MPV from TATA that has been developed in association with the Land Rover division and will sports some of the Rover features. Land Rover has indeed given design inputs for the HEXA.
2) The Tata HEXA MPV/SUV will feature a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, VARICOR diesel engine coupled to a 6-speed manual and an automated manual transmission offering 13-15 KMPL mileage.
3) The HEXA MPV will generate 154.2bhp at 4,000rpm and 400Nm between 1,700rpm – 2,700rpm. This will make it the most powerful car in its league.
4) The top-of-the-line 4WD version might feature Land Rover’s Terrain Response System and multi-drive modes – Dynamic, Comfort, Automatic and Rough-Road – which will allow driver adjust engine settings and suspension as per the need.
5) Though the concept was 6-seater, the final version is likely to also come with 7-seat (2+2+3) configuration.

6) The production model of the new Tata 7 seater SUV will look largely identical to the concept and will feature such as honeycomb mesh grille, projector headlamps and bumper with brushed aluminium skid plates, the fascia of the SUV looks quite aggressive.
7) A horizontal chrome slat under the grille that runs towards headlamps. It also gets a flatter bonnet and LED daytime running lights.
8) For passengers’ safety, Tata equipped the Hexa with bunch of safety equipment such as six airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), electronic stability programme (ESP), brake assist, traction control system, engine immobiliser and rear parking sensors with camera.
9) There is an instrument panel with a coloured Multi-information display (MID) and two circular dials and a touchscreen infotainment system with park assist and navigation.
10) Upon its launch, it will compete with likes of the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Honda BR-V and other compact SUVs and will be priced between INR 13 Lacs to 18 Lacs.
