Getting to know about first Microsoft Lumia

From our sources it is believed that the first phone from company will be a successor of entry level Lumia 530 and only one model will be launched on November 11. On the top of the front display, the company has swapped the Nokia moniker with its own name. The back panel too no longer shows the Nokia brand name.

Build & Quality

The first Microsoft Lumia will feature following attributes:

Display: The new Lumia will feature a 5-inch 720p (QHD) screen

Processor: The phone gets much of its power from 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor, good enough to power Dual Sim with ease

RAM: The smartphone will be catalyzed by 1GB RAM

Storage: New Lumia will sport 8GB internal storage which should be expandable

Camera: 5-megapixel front camera supported by VGA selfie rear camera

Body: Typical Lumia texture with Microsoft logo which shall be available in black, white, blue, gray, orange, green and blue colors

Battery: Not a great news in this front as phone is expected to chin 1,905mAh battery

Dimensions: New Lumia bears similar stats of 9.32mm thickness, just like the predecessor

OS: Windows 8.1 for mobile

Other features: Microsoft recently confirmed that it will be renaming the Nokia Lumia brand name to Microsoft Lumia

General Observation & Verdict

It is matter of both excitement & nostalgia about brand like Nokia - with statement saying connecting people will be lost in history. From world's largest phone maker to a dark star, we all shall miss Nokia logo and the quality for which Nokia phones were known for.
Never the less, the legacy of Lumia brand shall continue with Microsoft being the new parent and will continue to grow under new leadership. From pricing perspective we will not see a drastic change by Microsoft and we are eager for November 11 to have this old device with new logo in our hands. Till then, stay tuned & stay hungry.
