2023 Suzuki Ciaz: Should you buy it?

Maruti Suzuki has launched an updated version of its Ciaz sedan in India. The changes are primarily cosmetic, with the addition of three dual-tone paint finishes on the fully-loaded Ciaz Alpha trim. The paint finishes are available in combination with a contrast black finished roof and are priced at Rs. 11.14 lakhs for the manual and Rs. 12.34 lakhs for the automatic.

Features:
a. In terms of safety features, all variants of the updated Ciaz now come with ESP and hill start assist in addition to dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

b. Previously, ESP and hill start assist were only available on the automatic variants of the car.

c.  The Ciaz retains the same 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 103bhp and 138Nm of torque.

d. Depending on the variant, it will be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission, with the automatic variant returning a mileage of 20.04 kmpl and the manual returning 20.65 kmpl.

e.  Maruti Suzuki hopes that the updated Ciaz will help it further strengthen its position in the premium mid-size sedan segment.
